Error exporting to VBS. Check Visma before you continue. Reserved by process no. xxxx, started time at
When trying to send a larger count from BxWebManager to Visma Business, an error message may in some cases occur, which might look like this: "Error exporting to VBS. Check Visma before you continue. Reserved by process no. 1337, started time at".
If a time stamp and name appears after time and at, it means that the user in question is already working on something, or is active with something on one or more of the products you are trying to send the count for to Visma.
If the time stamp and name fields are blank as the error message above shows, it may in many cases occur because a user previously have been working on something and have been logged out from Visma, that Visma has crashed etc, without Visma having unlocked the process. Over time, this can accumulate and in some cases lead to multiple things being locked if these processes are not cleared in Visma.
The count will not be removed from BxWebManager if this occurs one or more times.
When you receive this message in BxWebManager, you must:
- Open Visma Business, preferably as a system admin, as this role has the most rights to unlock or delete processes. Otherwise, you must ask the users with an active process to finish them themselves (if this is mentioned in the error message). If you do not have this access, please contact your Visma retailer for assistance with this process.
- Open the Stock Count window in Visma.
- Click on the column furthest to the right or the desired column in the window. Then, click the "retrieve" button, or alternatively, use CTRL+U on the keyboard, which is a shortcut in Visma.
- The next step will be to find the "Process no." To do this, you need to enable "Control Columns" and it is a good idea to select "Insert to the right" so that the new column is placed next to the column selected in step 1. Click OK.
- You will then see the Process no. column where you placed it.
- The next step will be to select the entire column (click on the "Process no. header"). Then click on descending sort so that all active processes appear at the top of the list.
- Select all the rows with a process, then press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously to unlock all the selected processes.
- Once the Process No. disappears from this column, you can try sending the stock count again. It should most likely go through without any issues.
Other ways to check all active processes:
- Click on the arrow next to the"Export" button to display more options, then click on "Sessions, processes and locks..."
- Then click "Show only processes with locks" to display a list of all locks. Select the processes and click "Stop process(es)".
